Q: "Why should I hire Saffron Studio and Sonia Smith to capture my wedding?"
A: Unlike some of the larger studios in the area, I actually develop and maintain a close relationship with all of my couples. This relationship allows me to create some beautiful and unique images that would not otherwise be possible. As any successful, true photojournalist will tell you, it is imperative that the artist understand its subject in order to develop a story. I have been mentored by a well-traveled National Geographic photographer who helped to nurture this aspect of my business.
Additionally, since every individual's view point is unique, hiring a studio because they say they produce "journalistic-style" images doesn't mean that you are going to get exactly what you are hoping for. If every journalist was the same in their ability then there wouldn't be only one Pulitzer Prize winner each year!
Also, don't forget that you are going to spend a lot of time with your photographer during a very emotional and sometimes stressful day in your life and you want to be sure that you click with that person. I am a very sensitive and caring individual and I often go out of my way to assist you whenever I can, even going so far as bustling dresses and fixing makeup. I have been told that I am more of a bridesmaid than a vendor!
I hope that you share my view point and hire ME for my craft and not just because you need to purchase an album. This is the biggest compliment that I can receive for my art.
